The One Hour Poem

One Hour

Is the most I get for sleep

One Hour

Before my memories get too deep

One Hour

I can go without crying

One Hour

Until the vision comes back of her dyeing

One Hour

Until I want to go visit her grave

One Hour

Is the longest I pretend to be brave

One Hour

Until all our memories flood back

One Hour

The time lasts for my panic attack

One Hour

Can I make it to another city

One Hour

Maybe if I moved life could be pretty

One Hour

I want my family all together

One Hour

They’re like the sun and brighten this cold weather

One Hour

I see the clock hands ticking down

One Hour

Maybe this time I’ll see her all around

One Hour

It’s just time to most people

One Hour

To me, the time is lethal
