Let’s face it, our skin takes a beating in the winter and needs a little extra TLC. When the temperature outside drops the work that goes into your skincare routine should go up.
Cold, winter temperatures leave our skin dry inside and out. This is because the more moisture that is taken out of the air the more it sucks outta your skin, boo.
[content-egg-block template=custom/new_list_test]The outside winds and the dry heat inside doesn’t help the situation any, and it just adds to the problem. Since we all can’t control the weather outside and the heat inside we must instead control our skin and hair.
Let’s take a peek at the top 6 beauty products that will change your skin this winter season.

Lip Moisturizing Treatment
There are many lip treatments on the market, but my personal favorite is  Hanalei.
This lip treatment has no color, which is excellent for those like myself who like a natural lip. It is also renowned for those who want to wear color on their lips over a moisturizing base.
Hanalei provides a clear base for users to layer their daily color on top of without having any color mixing. This allows users to wear the color they bought in the tube and not have to guess what it will look like on their lips like they would with a tinted lip moisturizer.
Made from Hawaiian kukui nut oil, shea butter, agave, and grapeseed oil – all of which provide high levels of anti-oxidants. Additionally, it is paraben-free, phthalate-free, and cruelty-free.
Works in under 24 hours which is great for those who are in severe need of some lip TLC.
Under Eye Moisturizing Cream
LillyAna Naturals eye cream is not only moisturizing but it is an antiaging product.
Made with Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Rosehip Seed Oil, and Organic Hibiscus Flower Extract.
I suggest using this twice a day for the best results, and from someone who has super sensitive skin, I can vouch for this product as being gentle.
It heals, repairs and calms already irritated skin from the harsh winter conditions. I suggest using this as a base before you lay your foundation. If you aren’t planning on wearing makeup still use this as a protectant against the cool winds and dry air.
Shampoo & Conditioner Duo Moisturizing Duo
Every stylist has their favorite moisturizing duo and this product made by Paul Mitchell is mine – Tea Tree Hydration Lavender Mint Moisturizing Liter Duo Set. I use it on tons of my clients and it works great for every hair type, plus it has a refreshing clean lavender set.
One of the main ingredients found in here is, not shocking, tea tree oil which comes from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a small tree native to Queensland and New South Wales, Australia.
Besides moisturizing your hair it is great for your scalp because the tea tree oil soothes any skin inflammation, controls dandriff, and can even help relieve psoriasis .
While most of us prefer to buy smaller bottles buying litters actually will save you money in the long run and it is why all salons use them.
This is my go-to miracle worker for when I have really dry hair and it is the first thing I grab to use on my clients after rinsing out a conditioning treatment.
The scent alone on here turns any shower into a relaxing experience and it is usually the most therapeutic part of my day.
Industrial Strength Hand Relief
Listen, industrial-strength might sound a bit over the top but when you live in Wisconsin, nothing can be over the top when it comes to capped hand relief. My favorite find is Jet Black hand healer.
Why is Jet Black my favorite you ask? It moisturizes my hands without making them feel greasy and fixes cracks almost instantly, which is more than what a lot of other products can do.
Key ingredients in here are Vitamin A and E, Macadamia Nut Oil. These ingredients work on not only your hands but your feet as well.
When you get this product you will see it comes with a foil film cover which means you know its brand spanking new and you aren’t getting someone’s leftovers.
Jet Black has a ton of products so if you like this you should check out their other stuff.
Intense Hydrating Hair Mask
Moroccanoil is sort of an OG legend when it comes to the professional beauty industry. Its name, smell, and potent power have been around for years. One of my favorites from the line is the Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask.
This hair mask only takes five minutes to work and can be used in the shower or as a treatment before you shower. I personally like to put this mask on, bag my hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes before I hop in the shower to rinse it on.
Best to use once or twice weekly. If you have super oily hair or live in a climate with moisture year-round you are probably good to use this one weekly.
A little bit of this mask can help hair:
- Elasticity
- Shine
- Static
- Texture
- Manageability
- Smell
Miracle Aloe Vera Moisturizing Cream Face and Body Moisturizer
This is a whole-body cream made by Deluvia can be used on the face and body.
Made from Hawaiian Aloe, herbal extracts, vitamins including organic rosehip oil, organic lavender, organic calendula, and organic chamomile.
While this helps moisturize it doesn’t leave skin feeling super oily or greasy. You can apply this and not have to wipe your hands off before you use your phone.
You can get this in a two-pack or an 8-ounce jar.
