Brothers Gyro and Pizza is a new restaurant in an old familiar building. What used to be the old honey dip donuts is now a Grecian and American grill.
After the first time I went there, I knew it would be a place I would want to revisit asap.
Brothers, Gyros & Pizza is a must-try place between the wondrous food and the superb customer service.

Brothers Gyros & Pizza Story
”We are a local family-owned and operated independent restaurant. We have built and dedicated our restaurant to honor our beautiful son, Demetri, who we lost tragically. When you visit us, we want you to feel like guests in our home, and you will also see lots of PURPLE because that was Demetri’s favorite color.
Our goal is to provide a high standard of food and customer service. We want the community to think of “BROTHER’S” as their “GO TO” place when they want great food that is fresh and cooked to order.”
Steve Itsines, 64, of New Berlin, who will run the business with his wife Chrisanti and his sons Stefanos and George, is no stranger to the restaurant game, but the route to opening the eatery took some tragic twists and turns.
In November 2018, the couple’s 26-year-old son Demetri — brother to Stefanos and George — was killed in a traffic accident.
The “Brothers” name references the couple’s three sons and a tribute to Demetri. In addition, the restaurant’s logo features a silhouette of the trio.
They have a seat saved for him inside the restaurant, and you can feel the family vibes ooze throughout the entire place.
The Menu
I love that their menu is so much more than what you typically see at a gyro restaurant.
They offer your classic greek food, with also providing burgers, pizza, and sandwiches.
They can also make bowls sort of like what you would get from chipotle or Qdoba.
Everything on the menu is customizable, which means you can make stuff exactly how you want it.
Portions
The portions here lean on the larger side, and you get a lot of bang for your buck.
For instance, the hummus is larger than a whole container you get from the store! It was more than enough for two people to share!
Great For Vegans and Vegetarians
You might not think it, but this is a great place for vegan or vegetarian people. The veggies here are super fresh, and they have my favorite greek salad. The dressing is literally to die for!
Finding the right amount of protein in the day is essential for vegans and vegetarians, and you won’t have a problem doing so here. You will find tons of protein between the veggies, hummus, falafel, and pita bread.
From someone who eats vegan, I can assure you this place has more veggies to choose from than a ton of restaurants around the area, and that alone is worth the drive from Milwaukee out to Brothers.
You can actually customize your meal to include more than the typical lettuce, tomato, and onion.
High Quality
A big thing that I noticed right off the bat is how excellent the food quality is.
Typically gyros are super salty and greasy, and you won’t find either of those things here.
The meat has flavor but isn’t overpowered with salt or other seasonings.
I am a huge sauce person. However, I believe you can judge a restaurant based on the quality of their sauces and if they take the time to make their own or just run to Costco and buy a jug of hidden valley or any other big brand.
That being said, the sauces here are made with care, and you won’t ever have issues with runny sauce or sauce that is bland.
Atmosphere
This place is kept so clean you can eat off the floor!
It has plenty of seating so you can come with a big group and be comfortable.
As soon as you walk in, you feel like you are walking into a family home. Everyone is super welcoming, friendly, and helpful with any menu questions.
If you don’t have time to come in and sit down, you can order your food to go or even call ahead and take advantage of their drive-thru window!
I can see that being a significant benefit once the colder months come and getting out of your car is a struggle.
This family-owned establishment really sets the bar high for other restaurants around the area!
In an era where restaurants continually make excuses for poor food quality and poor customer service, Brother’s Gyros steps its game up and gives you an extraordinary experience from start to end.
If you are anywhere around the Hales Corners, Milwaukee, or Waukesha County area, I can’t recommend this place enough!
Ordering
It’s refreshing to see a place actually live in the current era.
You can call your order by phone, order online for pickup, and get delivery by Doordash.
I have walked in for an order to eat there and an order to go, and both times it was super fast and efficient.

Seriously, look at these prices! It is honestly a steal coming here.
With their portions and the food quality as outstanding, they could easily charge more for their food.
